Commencement ceremony

8:30 a.m.: Gates open.

Media entrance: Tunnel entrance on the north side of Michigan Stadium.

Parking: Passes are necessary. Passes can be picked up in advance at the U-M News Service, 412 be available from noon Wednesday to 5 p.m. Friday. On Commencement morning, staff with passes will be at the north entrance to the Michigan Stadium/Crisler Arena parking lot, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

9:15 a.m.: Student procession begins.

9:30-9:45 a.m.: Media availability: David E. Davis will be available for questions in the Michigan Sports TV studio (up the stairs on the east side of the tunnel entrance of Crisler Arena.

9:55 a.m.: Platform party procession.

10 a.m.: Ceremony begins.

11-11:15 a.m.: Ceremony concludes.

Identification: Regular media identification will suffice.

Media seating: A camera platform and microphone-level audio multi-boxes will be located 30 feet in front of the stage. TV crews should enter the stadium through the tunnel on the east (Crisler Arena) side. Cameras should be placed on the platform by 9:15 (when the student procession begins).

Camera opportunity: Camera operators will be free to move with discretion within the stadium for varied angles during the proceedings.
