ANN ARBOR—Tickets to the University of Michigan Spring Commencement, featuring President Barack Obama, have all been distributed, as of this afternoon. The university had hoped to have tickets available for the general public tomorrow but they were gone shortly before 3 p.m.

Graduates turned out in record numbers the first three days of this week, said Michelle Pate, director of University and Development Events.

“In recent years, average participation in commencement has included 3,500 graduates. This year nearly 8,500 who are eligible to graduate claimed their tickets,” Pate said.

The ceremony will be broadcast nationally on the Big Ten Network, locally on the Michigan Channel (Comcast Channel 22), and live streaming video will be available at www.bigtennetwork.com and www.umich.edu.
