U-M women's conference to offer workshops, networking opportunities
DATE: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004
EVENT: The University of Michigan Women of Color Task Force,
a volunteer staff organization that receives administrative support from the
Center for the Education of Women (CEW), will hold its 22nd annual career conference.
This year's theme is "Finding Your Path: Developing the Excellence Within."
The conference will feature more than 30 professional and personal development
workshops, as well as provide networking opportunities for attendees and conference
sponsors.
Beverly Jenkins, a renowned African American historical fiction novelist, serves
as the keynote speaker and will conduct two workshops. She will also autograph
copies of her newly released book, "The Edge of Midnight."
The registration fee is $50 for U-M employees and $70 for all others; lunch
is an additional $20. Add $10 for registration after Jan. 30. Register online
