U-M women's conference to offer workshops, networking opportunities

DATE: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004

EVENT: The University of Michigan Women of Color Task Force, a volunteer staff organization that receives administrative support from the Center for the Education of Women (CEW), will hold its 22nd annual career conference. This year's theme is "Finding Your Path: Developing the Excellence Within."

The conference will feature more than 30 professional and personal development workshops, as well as provide networking opportunities for attendees and conference sponsors.

Beverly Jenkins, a renowned African American historical fiction novelist, serves as the keynote speaker and will conduct two workshops. She will also autograph copies of her newly released book, "The Edge of Midnight."
