U-M hosts Workplace Wellness Conference March 17

DATE: 8 a.m.—4 p.m. March 17, 2004

EVENT: U-M Health Management Research Center sponsors this annual event themed "The Value of Health." This year's conference focuses on strategies to increase participation in workplace wellness programs in a variety of work settings.

Eleven health management specialists will discuss specific health promotion tools and programs that are proving successful in a variety of work settings. Presenters include Sheila Calhoun of Pfizer; Beth Spyke of Sparrow Health Education; and Steve Cherniak and William Sullivan, representing UAW-Ford Motor Co. HMRC Director Dee W. Edington will present the latest research findings on the costs and benefits of health promotion programs.
