Kresge Foundation CEO will address climate change in U-M talk

EVENT: Rip Rapson, president and CEO of the Kresge Foundation, will deliver a free, public lecture on “The Fierce Urgency of Now: Getting the Climate Question Right.”

An attorney and expert on urban policy, Rapson assumed leadership of the Kresge Foundation, a $3.1 billion private foundation based in metro Detroit, in 2006. Advancing methods for dealing with climate change is one of the Kresge Foundation’s primary strategic programs, which also include creating access and opportunity in underserved communities, improving the health of low-income people, supporting artist expression, increasing college achievement and assisting in the revitalization of Detroit.
