U-Michigan to host media event in advance of campaign kickoff

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

DATE: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013.

EVENT: The University of Michigan will host a media event to announce the public phase of the Victors for Michigan fundraising campaign, which kicks off the following day.

University leaders, including President Mary Sue Coleman, Chief Financial Officer Timothy Slottow, Vice President for Development Jerry May and Provost Martha Pollack, will provide information about the campaign priorities and announce the goal and amount raised to date in the nucleus fund. Following the presentations, they will be available for one-on-one interviews.

This campaign will be the largest fundraising campaign in U-M’s history. The last campaign, the Michigan Difference, had a goal of $2.5 billion and raised $3.2 billion.

PLACE: Hill Auditorium, Mezzanine Lobby on the second floor, 825 N. University Ave., Ann Arbor. An audio multbox will be provided.

PARKING: Limited bagged meters will be available for media on N. University Avenue. Additional parking will be available in Palmer Commons structure.

REFRESHMENTS: A light lunch will be available.
