Laser dance party will celebrate facade of U-M’s Angell Hall

EVENT: U-Monument: Dance Your Classes Off is an interactive community “translation” of the facade of Angell Hall with laser lights, music and dancing.

The outdoor, end-of-semester dance party is the culmination of U-Monument 2014—an event dedicated to the study and celebration of the facade of Angell Hall, one of architect Albert Kahn’s best-known U-M buildings.

Lasers will light up the eight massive Doric columns framing the front portico of Angell Hall. The K-Pop dance troupe will appear in sync between the columns and a DJ will play music for partygoers. Sweetwaters café will provide lemon ginger tea for the first 500 dancers.
