EVENT: The Entrepreneurs Engage “unConference” brings together 250 of the region’s most successful and visionary entrepreneurs and investors for free-wheeling, multisession discussions on ideas and initiatives to improve our region’s ability to create and grow new technology businesses.

Larry Freed of 2nd Stage Partners will lead the discussion process this year. Freed is former CEO of ForeSee, an Ann Arbor-based company that analyzes consumer satisfaction with online transactions. The agenda is determined at the event by the participants themselves.

We are excited to have another opportunity to bring together our region’s best entrepreneurs and investors,” said Ken Nisbet, associate vice-president of the University of Michigan Tech Transfer. “The Engage series is another example of how the university and the Michigan Venture Capital Association are providing leadership to enhance the entrepreneurial resources for the benefit of our region and our state.”

The invitation-only event is collaboration between U-M Tech Transfer and the Michigan Venture Capital Association to provide opportunities for interactions among highly qualified entrepreneurs and investors. Event partners include Menlo Innovations, A2 Geeks, Tech Brewery, Xconomy, Ann Arbor SPARK, U-M Center for Entrepreneurship, U-M Zell Lurie Institute and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
