ANN ARBOR—Faculty and administrators from college campuses across the country will come together to discuss “Diversity, Learning and Institutional Change” April 17-20 at the Sheraton Inn.

Sponsored by the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and the Great Lakes Colleges Association, the conference will explore successful campus diversity efforts, as well as examine ways that different groups of students respond to diversity initiatives. A number of University of Michigan faculty will participate.

Conference sessions will focus on such topics as the impact of diversity on student learning, intellectual frameworks for engaging diversity, curricular models and the societal questions they illuminate, institutional case studies, ways to involve faculty and departments, new connections between campus and community, and assessment approaches and designs.

To register for the conference or for more information, contact the AAC&U by phone at (202) 387-3760 or by e-mail at meetings@aacu.nw.dc.us, or visit its Web site at http://www.aacu-edu.org.
