ANN ARBOR—Administrative appointments approved by the University of Michigan Regents at their Dec. 16 meeting included:
William R. Paulson, professor of French, will serve as acting chair of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, effective Jan. 1-James S. Thomas, interim director for medical development and alumni relations, will become associate vice president for development and alumni relations of the U-M Health System, effective Jan. 1., reporting jointly to the U-M executive vice president for medical affairs and to the U-M vice president for development.
Karen K. Wixson, professor and interim dean of the School of Education, will be dean of the School of Education, effective Jan. 1. (Her nomination to the deanship was announced Dec. 3.)
