Prominent author to visit

ANN ARBOR—Author Dagoberto Gilb will present a fiction reading as part of this year’s Visiting Writer Series, sponsored by the University of Michigan’s Department of English and Office of the Provost.

Gilb, whose novels are based in the southwest, has won numerous awards and fellowships, including the Ernest Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award for his collection of short stories, “The Magic of Blood.” Gilb was also a PEN/Faulkner finalist, and resides in El Paso, Texas.
