Prominent author to participate in Hopwood Awards ceremony

ANN ARBOR—Noted fiction author Sue Miller will present a reading at the Hopwood Underclassman Awards Ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the University of Michigan’s Rackham Auditorium.Miller is known for her many best-selling novels, including “While I Was Gone,” “The Distinguished Guest” and “Inventing the Abbotts.” She lives in Boston, and has lectured at Boston University, Tufts University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. The Hopwood program was begun by prominent American dramatist and U-M alumnus Avery Hopwood, and offers approximately $90,000 in prizes every year to aspiring writers at U-M.
