Experts to answer, “What is it?”

ANN ARBOR—Experts from the University of Michigan will be available March 19 to answer the question, “What is it?”

A paleontologist, a geologist, and an archaeologist will examine “treasures” brought by the public for identification. While they will make no appraisals, these experts will try to identify artifacts brought to them.

A recent surprise included a mammoth tooth a family had been using as a doorstop.
