High school students can learn when a knot is not a knot

ANN ARBOR—From “Codes, Ciphers and Secret Messages” to the “Nature of Infinity,” “Stupendous Statistics” to “Geometry and the Imagination,” Michigan high school students interested in the world of mathematics may enroll in an intensive summer math program at the University of Michigan.

Math Scholars Summer Program participants
Sponsored by the Department of Mathematics at U-M, the program is an intensive, research oriented summer workshop with academic year follow-up and mentoring. State-of-the-art courses are taught in small classes by leading mathematicians; participants have full access to the department’s computing environment, including licensed software and systems support, which participants retain throughout their high school careers.
