ANN ARBOR—Five University of Michigan faculty members have been chosen to receive the 2000 Harold R. Johnson Diversity Service Award for their commitment to the development of a more culturally and ethnically diverse campus community.

This year’s recipients, chosen by a special campus committee, include Lorraine M. Gutierrez, associate professor of social work and psychology; James S. Jackson, professor of psychology and director of the Program for Research on Black Americans and the Center for Afroamerican and African Studies; Terrence J. McDonald, professor of history and associate dean for academic affairs at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; Robert E.
