Students receive landscape architecture internships

ANN ARBOR—Four students from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) have received internships at some of the most prestigious landscape architecture companies in the country, according to Prof. Donna Erickson, chair of the SNRE Landscape Architecture Program.

“These students are each doing excellent work,” said Erickson. “We’re very pleased with their successes, which should bring a lot to both their careers and our program.”

All students are in the second year of the master’s program in landscape architecture.

Jarrett Kest, from Lake Hiawatha, N.J., received internships from Johnson, Johnson and Roy in Madison, Wis., and Edward D. Stone Associates in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Amanda Szot, from Ypsilanti, Mich., received an internship from Design Workshop, Inc. in Santa Fe, N.M. Hui-Chun Huang, from Taipei, Taiwan, received an internship from EDAW in Alexandria, Va. Ching-Wen Cheng, from Taipei, Taiwan, received an internship from EDAW in both Seattle, Wash., and Brisbane, Australia.
