ANN ARBOR—For distance runner and University of Michigan Professor of Music James Kibbie, the downhill side of the marathon is in sight.

Committed to a marathon series of one-hour concerts presenting all 266 of Johann Sebastian Bach‘s written compositions for solo organ, Kibbie is readying for the final sprint commemorating the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death in 1750.

The remaining concerts will be Nov. 19, and Dec. 3 and 17, each beginning at 4 p.m. in Blanch Anderson Moore Hall in U-M’s School of Music at 1100 Baits Drive on U-M’s North Campus. All the concerts are free and open to the public. Kibbie usually gives a short informal talk about the music on the program at about 3:30 p.m.
