Summers is the inaugural speaker in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy‘s Citigroup Lecture Series, funded by the Citigroup Foundation, according to Dean Rebecca M. Blank. Blank, along with Charles V. Raymond, president and CEO of the Citigroup Foundation, will present opening remarks at the lecture. U-M President Lee C. Bollinger will introduce Summers.

“This endowed lecture series was established in honor of President Gerald R. We anticipate that this series will become a prominent event on campus and in the policy community.”

In addition to his term as Secretary, Summers also served as Deputy Treasury Secretary 1995-99 and as Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs 1993-95. In both positions he had broad responsibility for international economic policies.
