Edward Gramlich to discuss ways to beat the recession March 7

ANN ARBOR—Edward M. Gramlich, a governor on the Federal Reserve Board and University of Michigan professor of economics and public policy, will speak about “Policies to Escape Recession: What Should We Do?” at 4 p.m. March 7 in the Michigan Union’s Anderson Room on the U-M campus.

Sponsored by the U-M’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the Gerald R. Ford Library, the free, public event also will feature panelists Rebecca Blank, dean of the Ford School and a member of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers; Paul McCracken, professor emeritus at the U-M Business School and a member of President Nixon’s Council of Economic Advisers; and Michael Moskow, president and CEO of the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank and an economic adviser to President Ford.
