The following statement has been issued by the City of Ann Arbor.

“The City extends its thanks to residents and visitors for their assistance by removing cars so that snow plows may complete this important work.

“Snow parking restrictions require that alternate day parking on all streets (including those with meters) is in effect. This means, on days having uneven dates, vehicles are prohibited from parking on the side of the street having uneven street numbers. On days with even dates, vehicles are prohibited from parking on the side of the street having even street numbers. These special rules do not permit parking in areas where parking is normally illegal, such as in front of fire hydrants, in no parking zones, etc.

“Vehicles that are not moved per this Snow Parking Restriction directive will be fined $125.00 and may also be towed. Between 8:00 pm. and 12:00 midnight the odd-even parking prohibition does not apply, so that vehicles may be positioned to comply with the next day’s prohibition.

“For additional information regarding the Snow Emergency, please call the City’s Snow Desk at (734) 994-2359.”
