U-M Media Union renamed to honor James and Anne Duderstadt

EVENT: The Media Union will be renamed in honor of U-M President James J. Duderstadt and his wife, Anne. He served as the University’s 11 th president from 1988 to 1996. The building will be called the James and Anne Duderstadt Center. A reception and open house with tours, demonstrations and special displays are from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Located on U-M’s North Campus, the Media Union is a free-standing resource designed to explore advanced digital media tools and standards as a way of leveraging the teaching, learning, research and outreach of all units across campus. It is home to the Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library, a 360-seat campus computing site and high-speed network provided by the College of Engineering Computer Aided Engineering Network (CAEN) and Duderstadt’s own Millennium Project.
